The ring designing experience was perfect for me. Chelsea literally took the stress of finding the perfect ring at a jewelry store away. It was simple, yet efficient. We had an introductory phone call where she took the time to learn about my relationship, and took the very rough guidance on a ring design. I also provided a rough budget for her, which she stayed within, which was super helpful. Through several emails later, we had the perfect ring. It was so nice to be able to provide feedback via email and in a timely manner.
Why did you choose Honey Designs to design your ring?
My sister in-law connected me with Honey Designs when I expressed to her my concerns of shopping at a jewelry store. She said I have the perfect person for you, and connected me with Chelsea. Within a day Chelsea and I were already communicating and starting the process. After being introduced to Chelsea, I quickly viewed her website and Instagram and saw the work she produced, and was very impressed. I highly recommend Honey Designs for future clients.
What surprised you the most?
L: The whole proposal surprised me the most. It was a perfect weekend. We went to the Indiana Dunes for a getaway weekend, and he snuck the ring in his pocket during our Saturday morning hike. He took it one step farther by planning a surprise party with close friends and family at my parents house that night. I am still shocked by how many people knew and didn’t ruin it- it was perfect.
C: I was surprised by how much planning it took! I plan for a living, but this was by far one of the most intricate events I have had to plan. So many details, so many opportunities, but it worked out just like I imagined. I was so happy.
What do you love most about your ring?
L: How shiny it is! Ha- I really love the halo on it and just honestly love how it looks. It really is the perfect ring.
C: That Lesly loves it so much!
How did you & your significant other meet?
We met through a mutual friend. We had hung out with a group of friends a couple of times, and then I (Caleb) eventually had the courage to invite her to hang out without a group of friends. The rest is history as they say!
Where was your first date?
Our first date was at my house in Broad Ripple. We’re both pretty simple people, and she convinced me that we could take a run on the Monon, and then she would cook dinner. We had chicken alfredo and watched a movie. It was a great date.
Where’s your favorite hidden gem in Indy?
Too many to name! We’re Speedway residents, so we love all things Speedway. We’d highly recommend Main Street speedway for a date night. Dawson’s is a winner.
Favorite Way to Spend a Date Day/Night:
We love a hiking day date. We love hiking with our dog and seek out different parks to spend days. For our date nights, we like to walk to Main Street and sit on a patio with Jax (our dog), or grill out and have a fire on our deck.
